Less is more on Highway 34: Nellie’s Saloon and Mercantile popular spot for locals, tourists
ENNING, S.D. (KELO) – The 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has officially come to an end. People from all over travel there by interstate, but some bikers travel along a beaten path to get to the town. This includes Highway 34. And when they do take this route, a local bar and grocery store are waiting for them just 50 miles outside of Sturgis.

We were greeted with a friendly smile, and seated right away in a comfortable atmosphere. Clean menus to choose from. Food did not take long to arrive, for a party of four. We will be back to enjoy another meal. Satisfied.
I really loved their food. I ordered hamburgers and chicken wings. It has the best french fries I ever had. Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to test your food. Really recommeb their food if you on way …. great food keep it up!!!
We were traveling in our motorhome from Bismarck ND to Rapid City SD when we came across Nellie’s Saloon. Even though we had food in our motorhome, based on appearance we decided to have lunch at Nellie’s. We were rewarded with excellent service and great food. The “Special” that day was pulled pork on a hoagie with fries and cole slaw and we were offered “house” BBQ sauce as well. Everything was exceptional. This very unique establishment is also a Post Office and a convenience store. The saloon decor is perfect; not overdone or pretentious. It is a long way from anywhere, but if you are in the area, it is worth a visit.
Love this place!! Never pass it up. People are so friendly.. food is great…and beer is cold. Highly recommended!

This little mom and pop shop is pretty cool and clean. Post office, convenience, food and booze. Check it out.
